Who are we

Amma Foundation is a deeply rooted humanitarian initiative that stands by the poor, the abandoned, the disabled, and the forgotten those whom the world often overlooks. Founded in 2007 by Shri Nagamalla Anil Kumar and Smt. N. Aruna, the Foundation was established with one guiding principle: that every human being deserves to live and die with dignity, respect, and care—from womb to tomb.

This is not just a slogan for us. It is the soul of our service. From the moment a child is conceived to the final rites of a person’s life, Amma Foundation steps in where society steps back. We believe that every stage of life holds value whether it’s celebrating a baby’s birth, supporting a child’s education, conducting a marriage for an orphan, or arranging a respectful funeral for someone with no family. At every turn, we are there.

What began as a vision in the hearts of two individuals Sri Anil Kumar and Smt. Aruna has today become a sanctuary for countless lives. Through sheer dedication and compassion, they laid the foundation of an organization that now reaches into slums, orphanages, jails, schools, hospitals, and disaster-affected villages. Their belief was simple: human suffering must never go unanswered, and love must be shown not just in words, but in action. Our home for boys in  Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, is one such example where children with no parents are not just given food and shelter, but also education, discipline, skill development, and most importantly, the feeling of family. We celebrate their birthdays, guide their studies, and help shape their futures. Our team also reaches beggars, widows, and disabled individuals, offering everything from healthcare and clothing to vocational training and emotional support.

Amma Foundation does not operate like a typical institution. We operate like a family. There is no discrimination, no boundaries, no hesitation. We help those in need regardless of religion, caste, gender, or background with the same unconditional love a mother offers her children. Whether it is a health camp in a slum, a cultural program in a jail, a computer course for the blind, or disaster relief in flood-hit areas we do it all with one aim: to serve with heart.

We are Amma Foundation. Built on compassion. Led by purpose. Driven by humanity. And committed to ensuring that no life goes unnoticed, uncared for, or unloved—from womb to tomb.

Amma Foundation is not just an organization. It is a family for the forgotten, a shelter for the left behind, and a hand of support for those who never had one. We work with a belief that every person, no matter how poor, abandoned, or disabled, deserves to live with dignity and be treated with love. From the very beginning, our work has been rooted in one powerful truth—that nobody should feel alone in this world.

We began our journey with a simple idea: to serve people from birth to death, standing with them through every important phase of life. We take care of those who have no one. We celebrate births, support marriages, and stand by families during death rituals. Every moment we serve is filled with care, emotion, and respect. Whether it is welcoming a newborn child into the world or arranging a respectful funeral for someone with no family, we do it with the same heart and devotion.

Our foundation has become a symbol of care for orphans, disabled individuals, abandoned women, poor children, elderly persons, and the homeless. For a girl without parents, we become the mother who holds her during her wedding. For a disabled young man, we become the brother who finds him a partner and celebrates his new life. For an elderly person who has been left behind, we become the son who stands by them in their final days.

Our core work is centered around one of society’s most sacred traditions—marriage. We believe that everyone deserves a life partner and a day to feel special, no matter their background. That is why we focus our love and effort on organizing marriages for orphaned and disabled individuals. These are not mass events. Each marriage is personal. It is meaningful. It is a celebration of life and second chances.

Founded by Sri Nagamalla Anil Kumar and supported by Smt. N. Aruna, Amma Foundation is not backed by wealth or fame. It is powered by people. Every wedding mandap we build, every meal we serve, every child we lift, is done through the hands of common people with uncommon love.

We do not run on donations alone. We run on emotions. On relationships. On the pure wish to give someone the joy they thought they would never experience. Amma Foundation exists because someone out there needs us. And we are here to say to them, "You are not alone."

This is who we are. This is Amma Foundation.
