A Trust registered in Nalgonda, Telangana, "Amma Foundation Old Age Home & Orphanage" started its operations in 2021 with projects focused on Old age peoples & Women’s Education, Youth Empowerment and Livelihood creation.Youth employment rate, according to Labor Bureau, Government of India, is 12.90%. Gender disparity in literacy, according to 2011 census, is 82.14% for men and 65.46% for women. According to Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) Report 2015, India is ranked second-last among 73 countries on reading, math and science abilities. India also faces blood shortage of 3 million units according to 2012 WHO report. Delhi NCR alone faces a shortage of 100,000 units.These are some big challenges that India faces, but can you do something to help today? We at "Amma Foundation Old Age Home & Orphanage" work dedicatedly towards bringing effective change bit-by-bit, focusing on growth of children and youth, education of the girl child, women empowerment, quality education, skill development programs and health and rehabilitation.

Our Success Stories

Santhosha

Santhosha is from Nalgonda. She is married and stays with her husband in Srinagar Colony, Nalgonda. She is 12th pass. She was working as home maker before joining the MS-Office and DTP course. She is hard working and has interest in learning more. Her husband who is a labourer sent Santhosha to the Jyothi Computer centre when she learnt about the Skill course. She completed her course with full dedication. Her personality has changed a lot. Slowly and gradually she started mingling with the group and participated.

Shivani

Shivani is 18 years old. She is class 12th pass. She is staying with her mother and younger brother who is in Class 8. Her father doesn’t stay with them. Her mother works in a local school with an income of only Rs 3000/- a month. Her mother is not able to support her higher education so she approached the Metlife sponsored Setu Skill Centre at Village Sadarpur to do the IT course which she joined in June 2016 with the motive of helping her mother in running the family as well as to continue her higher studies.

Mamta

Mamta is working as data entry operator at OKS Health Care. She has good communication skills. She feels more confident after doing the IT course. Mamta has done 12th from CBSE Board and now pursuing graduation. Her father is a driver. There are five members in the family. Mamta wants to support her father. When she joined the course she was very keen in getting a job.Her confidence level has increased. She says she has learnt computer and soft skills along with communication skills. She is very much satisfied with the course.
